would it look nice if i got the rims w/ 245/35/19(front) and 275/35/19(rear) tires? because i pre-ordered a gts in RMC finish and dont know what tires to put on?

 

your tires will be stretched...

go with 255/35/19f and 285/35/19r like me and it'll look better...you'll have more traction too.

btw...hope you didn't order the same specs as mine...if you did, you will HAVE TO roll or cut your rear fenders.

 

what? what do you mean? did you cut your rear fenders? or roll it in? do i have to roll in the fenders or cut it because i only got my car drop about an inch! and i did order (front 19/9.5 +17)(rear 19/10.5 +18) im still waiting on them to come in and i got them through status too!

 

what did you do to your rear fenders? how drop is your car?

 

just to make things clearer even with a +30/+28 offset (w/o the monster 5 in. lips) getting 285/35/19 tires in the rear you'll more than likely have to also roll your fenders.

 

off subject but nitrouz, what kind of stoptech bbk do you have? and by how much did your new gt-s' clear your calipers?

 

asianhotchick: yes my car is dropped by about 1.5 inches. And yes you WILL have to cut/roll your fenders. I cut mine.

rfdgn1228: mine is the stoptech 14" front and rear. both 14". clears the front by a good margin...but only clears the rear by about 2mm...

 

It actually really depends on the tire of choice, as certain manufacturers have wider side walls than others, notibly Potenza S03s and BFG KDW II. I've got the standard +30/+28 offset with 255/35 and 285/35 Toyo T1-R tires dropped 1.2" on Tanabe GF210 springs and don't have a bit of rubbing at all. No rolling or cutting of the fenders needed. BTW, I will have pictures up on tuesday!

He is a picture of the silver mounted on PPW. I went with a offset of +28 because I did not want to roll fenders. Still a good size lip.
