Default TPMS Problems

Ok so I just got the car thursday in so. cal when I was home...just drove back up to the bay area today and during the drive, my tire pressure light went off like 5 times...at first it seemed like it was when I was driving through areas that were between mountains...low signal but I don't think this has anything to do with this...does it? I'm pretty much a dunce when it comes to this system...it seems like at one point none of my tires would read, then some...i didn't check the pressure yet, but visually they look fine...what's the problem? Also I don't have a nissan dealer near me, can I go to infiniti? Please help a noob!!!

I assume you're saying that the warning light has gone off, correct? Did you look at the pressures shown in the display? If the pressure drops below 28psi that will set the warning off.

BTW, your location (mountains, valleys, etc.) have nothing to do with the sensors. They transmit from the sensor in the wheels to a receiver in the car.

Don't trust what the tires look like, that is one of the most common mistakes people make with underinflated tires.

Go drive the car around the block and see what the pressure reads from each of the wheels. If you have a good quality tire pressure gauge, that's an even better way to check the pressures.

Take it to a dealer, if it is still under warranty.
Fill up the air pressure to 40 and see what happens. I read that some where but for got where. I no use, sorry.
