Question 17's or 18's?

Just a quick question im ordering a Pikes Peak enthusiast from a dealership here locally and i really want the 18's instead of the 17's but my salesman said that wouldnt be good because the suspension isnt made to go with 18's? Is there a difference in the enthusiast and performance suspension or would it not hurt anything to get my 18's

Are you getting an auto or 6sp? If a 6speed, there should be NO problems, if you're getting an auto, I've been told that it may hurt the car to put on bigger wheels, but others have done it without any problems thus far.

The suspension is the same on all Z models.

You can put any size wheel on there that you like. The concern is that the new tire/wheel combination match as close as possible to the OEM wheel/tire outer diameter and revolutions per mile.

There have been HUNDREDS of posts about this topic in this very Wheels & Tires Forum. There is also a link to a tire-size calculator somewhere at the top of the Forum.... the calculator will help you pick the proper fitment of aftermarket tires.

Hope that helps,
