Most of the wheels that are out on the market(Work, Volk, Maya, HRE, Iforged, Vellano, Zone and etc) are anodized (clear coat) on them when its polished. Eepecially on the lip.

The only problem is that with clear coat, you can only use water and soft soap to clean. Anything else can stain the wheels and can never get them off.

I was washing my wheels the other day and a plasticy film cam off the lip of the wheels. I sprayed the wheels with my water nozzle on hard and this protective film or plastic cover started to peel off my wheels. I wonder if the shop that put on my wheels forgot to take off the plastic? The lips look alot shinier than it used to though.

+1 Happened on my Meisters too but to me it seemed like a clear coat.

I contacted Work and they said they do have a clear coat. I always thought they were polished w/ no coat. Although where the coating came off, the surface looks much shinier.

From your discribtion, it seems like your clear coat came off of the wheel.

Why don't you post some close up pics?
