really W I D E tires
my rear toyos are about shot and i want to get something with a bit more meat to handle the extra ponies of my new turbo.
i am thinking of going with the following...
my wheels are 19x9ft +26 and 19x10.5rr +22
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
255/35/19 fronts and 295/30/19 rears
or
265/35/19 fronts and 305/30/19 rears
are there any cons in going with really wide tires? will it make my steering feel sluggish?
also any one running Michelin Pilot Sport PS2? how do you like them. is there anything else out there with the same quality and size for less money?

Between the 2 sizes, go with 255/35/19 and 295/30/19. I think those are near-perfect sizes in that they maintain the stock tire height. As for all your other questions, someone else can answer those.

there are guys running 275's front and 315's in the rear... It all depends on home much you want to flare the fender wells in the back. I am running 265x18/305x18 myself and I love it.

(sorry for the thread hi-jack!)
i have 19x9.5 wrapped in 255's, and 19x10.5 wrapped in 285's.
dont get a 255 for the front. i'd say go 265 for your fronts. i had to cut my rear fenders to fit 285's in the back.

Damn you! You got a really good deal, at less the $450! Especially since they are 2-piece, JDM, perfect size, perfect offset, and CHEAP!!! Also, I guess it doesn't hurt that they look good too. haha

Handling wise, it is a little sluggish, yet it seemed firmer in the steering, not sure if you know what I'm talking about...
I have Toyos and they were actually much more comfortable and quieter than my 275/35/19 toyos for some reason...
With my Axis Hiros and not lowered I have no rubbing issues at all. Even here in SoCal with speed bumps and drain dips at the curb and intersections. Using the Axis reccomended stagger set up for 350Z. Nearly the same tire height as stock Potenzas. 295 rears are about 25.9". Loving it...

Now I have over 500whp and need as much traction as I can possibly get so I like the wider tires. BUT when on the drag strip, it would be much better (not to mention easier to find Slicks & DRs) if I had left the BBK off and could fit smaller 17x295's. This reduces unsprung weight and allows for smaller/cheaper tires.
