Default Removing TPMS?

How does one remove the TPMS from a set of wheels/tires & reinstall on a new set?

Do you have to remove the tires from the rim to do so?

Searched up and down the forums but havent really seen it fully explained out good enough.

Reason I ask is because I am trying to buy a new set of replacement wheels for my 06 Base Z and some people are not selling their TPMS with the wheels so how could I use my old set of TPMS'?

Thanks.

yes you have to remove the tires...

basicly, once the tire is off (or pulled down) you unbolt the outter part of the TPMS and pull out the bottom...

this pic will give you an idea...

You can put your TPMS into the new wheels, you may or may not have to re-program them at your local dealer...
