here's some quick phone pics from today:

rear shot

rear wheel - you can see the residue from the tire lable on the side...just means I'll have to get her sideways to rub it off

front wheel

as stated earlier:
Work Emotion CR Kai 18X9.5 +20
tires: BFG KDW NT's front 245/35/18, rear 275/35/18
springs: Hotckis

I got the wheels from Logan @ A Spec - good price, good customer service...I recommend them if you're looking to buy!

-so far, I love the set-up...the 275's are much harder to get loose! Good thing my N2O set-up should be done by this weekend.

I loved the Hotckis springs when I had OE wheels...but I'm now looking into either lower springs or a set of coilovers (maybe tein basics).

I'm just about done with the nitrous install, so I'll get her washed and will hopefully get some good pics with our Nikon D70.

I will be having 18 x 9.5 all around +15 offset all around. I will be on HKS RS coilovers. So I am pretty sure I will have to modify my fenders a bit. Ill run a 235 or 245 up front and a 255 or 265 in the rear. The car is used for drifting so this suits me well. The rims I got only come in a +15 or +25 so i went with the 15.

or just get some sumo wrestler friends for some ride alongs

no but seriously, if you are new to the wheel fitment, id suggest the 18x9.5+20 instead than the +12

I'm liking the look of smellslikecurry's setup but with a larger tire outback. Is there any reason why +20 than the +12 offset? Also i was looking at Falken FK-451 245/40f, 275/40r or Azenis St-115 255/35f, 275/35r. I was planning on rolling the fenders anyway, are you concerned with fitment?

I just recommend the +20 because its less aggressive than the +12, so makes your life easier if you are apprehensive about fitment. If you are going to roll your fenders then sure go with the +12, but its still "aggressive," i.e you need to do the work to make them fit.

Typicallly I recommend 245/40/18 & 275/35/18 to match up tire profile (with the 35 series rear)

I expect the rears to be more problematic than the fronts, you think i'd have to do some fenderwork up front?

F: 18x9.5+12 w/ 235
R: 18x9.5-13 (15mm spacer) w/ 255

Technically this car was used for drifting, which explains the stretch tire

No rolling no rubbing according to customer

Man I was told by someone that i would need to pull and roll my fenders to fit 245s all around on 18X9.5 +15 . any insight.

Did you consider going with 40 series tires, maybe that would fill the fenders better with the Hotchkis springs

in hindsight I shoulda got 40 series...but I like the look of the 35 series on the rim - I'll be getting coilovers within 2 weeks (I can't fit my sumo wrestling friends in the Z ...they're much bigger than 2 golf club bags!)

As soon as I get her dropped, I'll repost the new pics. (I go to the dyno tomorrow to see what my 75 shot is doing...I tried spraying in 1st and broke traction even with the 275's!!! After the dyno, I'll figure out which coilover I want)

back from the dead
could i use +12 in the front and +20 in the rears?
this shouldnt cause rubbing right?
i was flippin through the history and it seems like even +20's will rub in the rear
