Default 19 in rims what are some of the lightest

I am thinking about getting some 19's. Either 8.5/9.5 or 9.5/10.5. I was thinking about the HIROS, but I heard they are heavy. What are some rims that are light in these sizes that you guys recommend.

Cool looking wheels (19-inch diameter) and performance do not go hand-and-hand. If you want to go for the bling, then do it, and don't be concerned with weight.

Are you concerned with the weight of the whole wheel or just the rim portion of the wheel? The ligher the wheel is near the outer circumference (the rim portion), the less energy it takes to get that wheel rotating. A forged rim is a good thing because it's generally stronger than cast and it can then be made lighter for the equivalent strength. Same goes for the wheel as a whole.

You'll find that a forged monoblock wheel will likely be the lightest: Nismo, Volk are some names worth looking at. They can be in the 20-21 pound range.

a lot of people tell me that weight wise, there isn't much difference between an 18 and 19. now, when you start going wider, that's when you notice a difference. i know a guy that from his acura rsx, his gramlight wheel and tire combo was actually heavier than his stock wheel and tires by 2 pounds. each wheel. but if you think about it, that's a small price to pay for the extra traction of a wider setup. this is just what i've heard from other people so please don't blast me for "relaying" info

The G35 19" Rays Forged wheels are pretty close to the 350Z Rays wheels in weight and those are about 18lbs a piece.

Ive been looking at the GGames 99b's from Z1. They checked the weight on the 19x10's at about 22.5 lbs each. Not bad...

do you plan on tracking your car? if not, weight should not be that big of an issue right? if you do plan to, then you might want to stick to an 18" wheel

That's my plan, too. (Until I can afford some dedicated track rims)

Jason, how much do those Enkeis normally go for? I like 'em.

The 19 x 8.5 are $490 and the 19 x 10.0 are $530 each. I can work on the pricing a bit so just shoot me a PM or give me a call.

Not true if you get volk le28n or ce28n... both of those would make a fine good looking and most importantly LIGHT 19" wheel (forged monoblock)

The enkeis are a good idea too, but not as bling as the volks.

remember light wheel with out being strong = worthless..

get volk if you really want something Light and Strong.. CE28N is the lightest of the 19" Volk Line..

I have those in 19x8.5 up front and 19x9.5 in the rear, with spacers on the rear. They are light and they look great on Zs. A couple others here have them. The gunmetal is a perfect match for silverstone too.

ADVAN Racing wheels are among the lightest. My 19X10 RS wheels are 19.2 lbs and the 19X9 wheels are 18.7 lbs. They are also race proven. ADVANS are very popular on the racing circuits.

+1 on these, i liked them. If i had money i'd go back to them....

Also, look for Racing Hart CPF-Tune i think they are 19x9 and 19x10.5, i believe they were advertised as the lightes 19" wheel in their sizes/widths. I had those too:
