Default wheels from other cars (murano, FX, ?) on 350Z

With all the 5x114.3 17s out there with offset / backspacing in the right ball park, it seems there should be a lot of inexpensive alternatives for snows on my '06 Z coupe. But I haven't seen anything about this anywhere. I've got one extra 18 from my wife's FX that measures about the right offset, and I can pick up 3 more at little cost. Will they be OK with snows on my Enthusiast coupe? I don't need beauty - I need to get to work in one piece in snow.

What about Murano or Maxima wheels? Anybody find others?

Default Got a set on order

Wife and son are getting me new Hankooks on closeout mags from DiscountTireDirect for my birthday - they're expected in the 2nd or 3rd week of September. But if I can use my FX 18, I know where there's a set of 3 (the owner got aftermarkets after trashing one of his stockers) and I could afford Nokians - the best snows in the world, but I couldn't find anybody who discounts them much.

There are also a lot of used wheels around for Maximas and other 5x114.3s - the offsets are close to stock Z, and I think they should work. But I can't find a sinlge post on any board about this.

Seems like the 18s from the FX would be a little wider/taller than you would want for a snow tire.

Generally you want narrower tires with more sidewall for a snow tire.

Agree. The best place to ask about specifications for, say, Altima wheels is a Altima forum. A 17x7 wheel is good for snow tires, but no wider.

I think many of the Camaro/Firebird wheels fit. Maybe try a set of OEM Camaro 16's?
