Default VOLK RE30 and 20 in TE37!!!

The guys from Mackin just came by to show us 2 new wheels they will be debuting at SEMA this November. The first one is the RE30. The RE30 will be for the enthusiast who is more track oriented. Only offered in an 18 inch, these wheels are a one piece forged wheel similar to a TE37 and a CE28, the spoke placement and shape will increase the strength by 30% compared to the TE and CE and is lighter than the TE! There are 3 different disc types(faces) to achieve maximum lip, about 6mm more than the CE28 counterpart. Aggressive offsets will feature a face 3 disc type giving it a concave appearance. Unfortunately as a distributor we cannot release any photographs but we can assure you theyre hot!

The second wheel they brought to us was a massive 20 inch TE37! Theyre going to be releasing it sometime within the next couple months. They will also offer a 20x11! The 20 inch TE will have a different forging process but still offer the same strength and durability, it has less processes than the 19 inch TE's. These 20's will offer more lip but less concaveness. The wheels will weigh in no more than 22 pounds which actually weigh less then the new 06 GT and Track RAYS 19x10 factory wheel!

Oh and I almost forgot to mention that weve already placed our pre-order.

MSRP on the RE30 will range $740-$800. 20 inch TE's will MSRP for almost 1K a wheel but the TE price is not confirmed yet.

Those both sound awesome, but $1K MSRP for a wheel is just insane. And people will pay whatever just for bragging rights....that's pretty sad.

$1K is a full set of 19" tires.

Sorry, just whining a little.....there are just times with the price of something is just too ridiculous. I love the TE37's and LE37T's more than any other wheel on the Z though.....thank God I already have a set so I wouldn't be tempted by these 20's.
