Just installed 18x9 front and 18x10.5 rear. Just wondering what the benefits/drawbacks are?

The obvious benefit is better traction. The less obvious drawback is increased rolling resistance. That means more power lost, worse gas mileage, etc.

Depending on brand, wider tires may weigh more than the ones you replace. That would hurt performance as it increases the rotational inertia of the wheels. Of course, if you get lighter tires, then there is a slight performance gain.

Naturally, wider tires will cost you more too.

I'm curious to know....do you guys spin your tires if you punch it from a roll? Like a 1st gear roll at 15mph? I'm wondering if 295s in the rear would help cure this...
