You are sitting within a couple of millimeters of stock right now. If you want it to look more aggressive, 25mm/1" spacer would bring the wheels out nicely.

If you would like an aggressive setup .. yes run 25mm front and maybe even a 35mm spacer rear!

No you don't need spacers.

If you have a Z that is. Don't know about Civics and such...

What do you mean he doesn't "need" spacers? his offsets right now are pretty fuked... A spacer would help bring the wheel more flush with the fender, giving it a wider more agressive stance. Stock offsets look horrible on the Z.

the only problem with a spacer that big is that when the car is still, it is blatantly obvious you have the spacer

Ah yeah, I guess it would "look" better with Mexican wheels sticking out of the fenders too ?

+35mm offset is close enough to stock. Believe it or not, offset is actually a factor in suspension design. Handling wise, wider is not necessarly better. Certainly not on the rear. That's if you want your car to corner of course...

If "prettyness" was what the OP wanted, I doubt he would drive around with 245/40R17 and 255/40R17. 19in rims would look better IMO...

What kind of spacer help?
What is wrong with the way that the car performs as is?
Do the wheels clear the brakes?

the reason being i just want to make sure i dont have abnormal tire wear. i have two sets of rims

the 17x18.5 offset +35
and my usual 18inch staggered setup 18x8.5 and 18x10.0.\

i havent really gotten around to put more than 30 miles on the 17" set-up but acceleration is increased and handling is increased because i am using advan ao48's..

my knee has been swollen for 5 days now. so ill let you guys know of the tire as well.

Spacers are for cosmetic purposes, they are not for correcting camber issues. Plus, I don't think you will have a problem because your tire sizing is probably very close if your 18's have a lower profile.

Spacers have no relation to tire wear. If the wheels clear the brake calipers leave them alone.
