question about 19" tires for rears: 275/35 or 275/30 tires
ok all you tire gurus.
i have 245/35 19" tires for the front and have 275/35 19" tires for the rear
in japan and europe, they use a 275/30 for the rear with the 245/35 fronts.
why is that?
i am thinking about going this route.
245/35 19" fronts and 275/30 19" rears.
what are your views,
john

I don't know much about tires but your rear sidewalls would be slightly smaller than the fronts with 30 series...
Front 3.37 vs Rear 3.25 inches.
With 35 series the sidewall is 3.79 inches tall.
Based on looks I would go with the 35 series in the rear. But I dont know about the difference in performance.

I'd have to say "no go" on that one john. The stock set up has a front tire that has an overall shorter height, you're going to do the opposite...I think it'll be "easily spotted" and look disproportionate. A little more sidewall never hurt, but is there anyway to go 285/30 in the rear? The sidewall would then be the same as the front tire, and the stance would be similiar to stock.
