You don't need hub centric rings when using spacers.
I ran into the same problem with my CE's, its just the way the wheel is designed.
The only thing you can do is to tap out the OEM studs with longer ones (nismo 60mm) and then tap out the spacers studs as well.
I only had an issue with my front wheels not the rear though.

Regarding the wheel studs, I was afraid of that. I might have to swap out the studs for the longer Nismo ones.
Off topic, anyone have a link to a DIY on swapping out the wheel studs?

Let us/me know how this goes. I might get spacers as well later for my CEs. They will finally be on tomorrow as well sry. I ended up giving them a full detail. Wash, tar removal, wash, clay, zaino Z5, and 3 coats of sealant. Pics to follow...
PS I don't know how far Phoenixville is from Columbus, but we have a very active Z and G community here now. We should try to meet up groups or you should join us for a meet sometime this year.

Phoenixville is actually pretty far east in the state, about half hour west of Philadelphia. I make it out to Pittsburgh occasionally but always take the "beater" car. If I was close by I would definitely make the drive.

Anyone here use studded spacers on CE28's? Specifically Project KICS studded 10mm spacers. I went to put mine on today and ran into 2 problems. First, I could not use my existing wheel hub rings so I guess I need some sort of long skinny ring that centers both the spacer and the wheel.
Second and more importantly, the OEM studs that protrude through the 10mm spacer interfere with the wheel. The cut-outs on the back of the wheel are not deep enough to accommodate the exposed length of OEM stud, so the stud bottoms out on the back of the wheel and prevents me from installing the wheel flat against the spacer.
With CE28's is the only option for spacers to replace the OEM studs with longer ones and then use studless spacers?

Me too man. They would have been on last week, but I'm super busy at work per usual. I finally found a weekend off so they are getting mounted at 8am tomorrow!
Then going to the Columbus Auto Show with the G club. Super excited. I rarely get any opportunities to enjoy my 'free' time.
I sure will, I'm charging the DSLR battery tonight. But we should definitely have a co-meet sometime or if you ever have the chance to join us, we'd love to have you. We have a pretty large group of guys that have joined our club since our original 6 or 7 members and we're getting pretty active. Plus it'd be fun to see my wheel brother...

Thanks for the reply. Are you sure about the hub rings? The 10mm spacer is thick enough so that none of the wheel hub sticks through it, so the wheel has nothing to center on. At that point you are just relying on the centering effect of the lug nuts seating into the wheel.
Regarding the wheel studs, I was afraid of that. I might have to swap out the studs for the longer Nismo ones.

haha, I know, I kid.
I initially thought they were limited CEs like sry110 and I have, but then realized they were G10s and they look pretty damn good on your IP. Plus the fact that indeed no one has them...looking forward to more pics.
PS Fantastic build on your car!
