Okay guys, I'll throw mine in the mix:
IForged Evolutions (Polished): 20x9(F) + 20x10(R) w/ BFG KDW2 255/35(R) + 285/30(R)
Although this might be the last time you'll see it this way since I'm planning on getting Mercury Silver Volk GT-S's in 19's with fatty lips. I'm a sucker for Ladiez that have nice lips

I didn't have to lower the car at all, and I don't have any problems with the tire pressure gauge. I just drove it to Sedona and back yesterday (2 hours each way) and never had a light come on. I don't think that putting larger wheels will necessarily trigger any difference with the indicator light. The tire pressure guage on my 2005 coupe with stock wheels went off all the time, but on my 2006 roadster with 20's have never gone off once. I'm not sure what causes the difference.

theres only a few (and far between) chromes that IMO actually look great on a Z.
And while im on here, is it just me, or does it appear that twenties on a z actually add height to the car in comparison to stock 17s or 18s.
i thought by keeping the tire profile really low that it should pretty much be the same if you go up one inch or two.

Heres some kinda small pics of my 20" Iforged Senekas high polish...Much better than getting heavy chrome...Its not as bling bling as chrome but you get the shine without the added weight...20" rims alone are heavy. Adding chrome to it will imasculate your Z. Unless you have FI. Smaller lighter rims will always have the advantage over bigger rims. But damn it 20" look sooo good on a Z...BTW I dropped it with Eibach Prokits...No problem with rubbing the fenders but dont hit a large pothole...yikes..

deeez the reason it looks so big is because of the dark shadows hiding the lower body of the Z...As you can see in the top pic its nowhere as big looking as the bottom pic cause you can see all the cars dimensions.

Snakebitten is 100% correct. I have 20" chrome wheels on my 06 touring roadster and had stock rims on my 05 coupe base. The difference in speed is minimal. Once you add an intake or performance mods you can't even tell the difference in the wheel weight. I have cams, intake, and exhaust and it moves very quickly. My stereo is significantly heavy (a couple hundred pounds) and it still makes a minimal impact. I'm sure the track times would see a difference, but you can't FEEL the difference nor would you notice it on the street.

As a matter of fact I'd go so far as to bet that with my 255f/275r 20's on I would beat a stock Z with the 225f/245r 18" tires on a roadcourse. Simple reason, more contact patch so Ill corner harder where the stockers will slide..More grip..Go ahead and call me crazy. Now I wouldnt make that bet with 18's with comparably wide rubber as mine ...Different variables come into play imho..On the street none of this matters so go with whatever size tire/wheel combo you like best. Most of the guys that tell you not to go 20's because of performance hit have never seen a track and are just parroting what they've heard big rims do to cars[not refering to anyone in particular]...If you listen to them you would think 20's turn the Z into a land barge that cant accelerate or corner...Take it from those of us enthusiasts that drive on the street...Better yet run someone with 20's, assuming both cars are similar save for the rims, and report back your findings.

20s are fine if your car never sees the track - or is mainly a show car or a "look at me" car.
If you're serious about going fast, stick with 18s.... MAYBE 19s... and thats a big maybe.
I'd never run bigger than 18s. And for ****'s sake, I'd never run CHROME. yuck.
