Default New Rear Tires and VDC

Finally replaced the OEM Bridgestones on the rear of my 03 Touring. Still have them on the front (third set - all provided by Nissan). I was looking for longer tread wear and went with Yoko YK520 (60000 tire warranty VR AA) and stayed with the same size - 245-45-18. However, these are VR and not the ZR like the OEM. The ride feels like I'm riding on balloons and the rear of the car feels loose. The worst thing is that now when I take a curve hard, the VDC kicks in and applies the ABS. I got them at Discount Tire and they thought it was the different load rating and recommended lower the tire pressure to 28. However, that causes the low tire pressure warning to come on. I am taking them back for something else and I don't want to make the go through this again and don't want Bridgestone again. Any recommendation for mismatching tires (fronts still 225-45-18) and not having to deal with the VDC?

Any new tire will slide untill the demolding agent is scrubbed off it. A few 100's miles.

Plus I wouldn't get only new rears.... Different tyres in front and rear seems to cause some problems as well on the Z.

Agree. New tires are slippery. Give them a couple of hundred miles. For tire pressure I recommend 35PSI.

If you're looking for some cheap ZR tires for the rears. Check out Nexen N3000's on ebay. I just put some on my Z about 2 weeks ago. They have a nice V shaped tread pattern and are very "meaty" looking. The only negative is that Nexen only makes stock sizes for the rears, they don't make stock sized tires for our fronts. These tires have a 340 treadwear and AA traction and A temperature. You can pick them up for about $100/tire. I hit a deal and got 4 for $387 on ebay with free shipping. Satisfied so far. I notice nobody ever talks about these tires because they are not well known, and I have no complaints to this day.
