Yea with an *** load of camber. There is no way a 10inch rim with a -2 offset is gonna work without a massive amount of -camber. I put my Oem track rims on with a 10mm spacer and they were rubbing. and that was only a 8.5 inch rim with a 23 offset. I also was using a 255 tire. But anyways Show some pics with the rims on it should look hot but im just saying it wont be flush it will stick out.
also are you selling your Schmidt rims now?

sidenote, - i dont know how you got your info ?, i went with 18x9 +12 last year (57pro) in the rear with about 2.5 degrees of camber and it wasnt close enough for my likings to "flush"

well, i actually ,cut out the fender lip (the area that people roll) and had no problem test fitting for a day on my roomates car, s14 will pull fender... an 18x10.5 +12 and it was just barelyhella flush (0-5 mm past flush) so these should stick out like 10-14 mm and with a 15mm pull i will be "solid"... hence the reason i said i was going to pull the fender... so it doesnt stick out

here are pics

so by my/our calculations, the 18x10.5+12 wasnt close to flush w/the pulled fender.... so then we figured that the 18x10 -2 would be slightly closer... so i'm sure i'll be fine, keep in mind i'll be running a 245.40 tire

for reference, here is an 18x10.5 -8

oh sorry man, ^^^ , maybe i should leave the site huh?

really man, one of the core elements i've always seen shine through all the BS is true enthusiasm, and thats what the Z car is based on, true enthusiasts, and i am a true Z car enthusiasts, i work with nissan racecars as a hobby (a very important hobby) and through the years, the Z owners i meet are never immature enough to outcast other nissans/enthusiasts... they enjoy it equally, of course they prefer the Z, but they are usually... USUALLY mature enough to think out of the box...

So i say this in regards.... if you feel that such a Z/nissan enthusiast as myself should not post pics of wheels i just purchased (in the wheels section) because htey arent going on a 350z, please contact a moderator and let he/she decide whether or not to delete the thread...

then, if said moderator wishes me to only talk about 350z and nothing else (s14) then i will wait to sign back into "my350z.com" until june 2007 when i purchase my first new car once i graduate from college, which will be a ... (you guessed it) ... 350z... i can deal with this, but i have no patience for 350Z elitests who may or may not know much more of the basics... meanwhile i'll be building TT and single turbo VQ's for the local 350 society...

like i said, im open for interpretation... and being as mature as possible in said "given situation"...

I see no problem with someone posting pictures and information about the wheels he purchased for his car in the wheels section. Why does it matter if they go on a Z or not regardless if it's a Z forum or not, people post here all the time with G35's and their not Z's do you harass them?

Besides JDM RICE it says you've been a member since November of 2005 and you've only made 14 posts..so like it makes a difference if he's on here it's not like you are.

ok, looks as though it might look pretty good on a S15 but the tire stretch is obscene.

Does not seem right, in any way shape or form.

Just a LITTLE wider tire...would've been the way to go. You could've had the stretched look even with slightly wider tires.

How does having extra metal without any tire around it, help you?

245 on a 10" wide wheel is stupid, why would you do that? save your money and get the correct sizes

245 can only fit on a 9" wide wheel and if you get it on a 10" wide wheel it'll be stretched to hell and won't look right or good and won't perform worth a crap...and it'll look like a jetta, GAY

NO, a 245 can fit on whatever i put it on, LIKE... the 225 i put on the 10.5 ^^^^^ did you see the pic i posted ^^^, so dont tell me what will or wont work, when i personally have stretched many tires for myself and many other race car drivers....

you must not have done your homework on the effects on a sidewall that stretching has...it stiffens it up and offers the ultimate rigidity and non-sidewall flex....

Cliffsnotes - streched tire = stiff sidewall
- stiff sidewall = optimal for drift
- my car = drift car

Sidebar - its not as if i cannot afford larger tires, i do this with performance intent in mind, for me, it is track tested and proven, so please dont tell me "its not"

its a 225.40 on a 18x10.5

it actually stiffens the sidewall, for preferred performance

Dude, you cant sit there and tell me your 225 width tire on a 10.5" rim is going to offer better handling characteristics than a 265 width tire on a 10.5" rim becuase the side wall is "stiffer."

Get real! Take your initial-D fanboy dreams elsewhere.

PS. Drift Cars are not race cars. They are built to slide, not handle well.

I like threads like this and welcome all Nissan enthusiasts.

If people have a problem with you posting then *** em.
They can go read another thread or waste bandwidth where someone cares to read their rants.

You gotta remember, everyone and their moms and dogs drive a 350z so you have a thousand to the nth degree of members on here. Not all are going to be friendly or enthusiastic.

Awaiting pics of the wheels on your S-chasis.

Not sure what "race car drivers" you think stretch their tires, but you are mistaken. If you think drifters are race car drivers, then you are mistaken again.

Save the bling rice for the shows.

Takes a lotta ***** to come on here and smack talk...especially when you don't even own the vehicle.
