Default Super Quick easy question about wheels

Is there any downside to going to an 18" x 7.5" rim all the way around? I currently have the '03 18" rims but found some rims I really want. I would keep the same rubber if it matters....any advice?

Thanks

The wheels are no problem.
Be reasonable about tire width.
You have VDC. The rear tires should be about 10mm taller than the front.

You're going to have horrible offsets i would assume. 7.5" wide custom wheels are typical for hondas and hondas have really high offsets. What does this mean? how about a wheel and tire combo that sits a couple of inches inside your wheel well. Your stock wheels will look better.

Are you cheaping out or do you just really like the wheel design?

this is actually really dumb but it's the G35 Sedan Sport wheels. I like the design of those wheels and was going to go for the 19" version but I just bought all new rubber for my factory 18" Touring wheels. My thinking was to just put the new rubber on the G35 wheels thus saving my the cost of having to purchase 4 new wheels all over again. It's a combo of me trying to save money but also get what I want.

Thanks

For 7.5 inch wheels I recommend 225 plus or minus 20mm tires.

First off, I didn't realize they were 7.5" wide. They're from a G so I figured they'd be 8" wide regardless. Second, I don't recall asking for anyone's (personal) opinion...especially yours. And last, who the f$5k goes around looking at how wide the rims are. Most people look at the how wide the tires are. So, if I had the typical 225/18s up front and the 245/18s in back are you going to look at my wheels and laugh cuz they're only 7.5" wide? Personally, if that's the case, get a life....or a girl...or both but please don't be a d**k and respond with your nonsense. I respect the people that get wider/larger/smaller/deeper dish wheels so I ask that people respond with something that is actually useful. Personally, I could give a rats @ss if people will laugh at them. 99% of the people on the road aren't going to know whether they're 17" wheels,18" wheels, 19" wheels much less that they're 7.5 inches wide.

Anyways, for those who have responded with helpful comments and those who can be helpful I'd appreciate it!

G35 Sedans use higher offsets, it won't good on a Z. If you like that style, look for the 19" Coupe sport wheels.
