They look like OZ Super Legerra's to me. The weight is good though.

It is an F1 inspired wheel so it will have that similar look but it has more concavity and dish to it than the OZ.

IMHO, if you're gonna spend big bucks on wheels, they better be original looking. Otherwise, you be spending most of your time explaining that your wheels are Volk, not OZ. Concavity is nice, but only experts such as ourselves could tell the difference. Volk has an amazing array of wheel designs, I just thought they'd go in a different direction instead of following a trend. I have to admit, their might be design limitations when dealing with light wheels. I hope the other wheels they come out with have more panache. BTW I love Volk, my GT-S' are the $h!t. They look different from every other 5-Star Design wheel. Originality is what makes a distinct difference between your car and ricer joe's.

Their goal of this wheel was to make a strong and lightweight wheel. Unfortunately these goals came at the expense of design creativity.

I hear you on this, but you spend big bucks on Rays / Volk Racing for the high quality manufacturing process. Check out this video, it shows the Rays manufacturing and forging process, as well as their high quality casting process:

Very cool video. It's awesome that my wheels started out as a block of aluminum. In the future I hope Rays continue to raise the bar with new designs. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Rays but the RE30, is not one of those wheels that redifines what lighweight racing wheels should be.

Here's some pics of the RE30 (18x9.5+28) on our Time Attack Evo. It is L1 / Face 1 just for reference.

One of the first sets in the world, we were lucky enough that Rays prepared the wheel for us to make the Super Street event this month.

Yeah, we ran into problems but our car ran a 1:55 or so. If we hadn't had the issues would problems couldve got closer to the low 50's. The #2, #3, and #4 cars were all driven by Tarzan haha, he is a fast driver. He drove the Mine's car.

Here's some more information on the RE30:

Explanation on the Formula 1 influence on the wheel design:

For those with bad eyesight like me, I typed it out for you guys:

Formula One - The highest level of motorsport in the world. A top Formula One team can spend around $100 million dollars annually to acquire the proper talent, highest technology and accuracy to develop top racing parts in a very short period of time due to changing regulations and racing conditions every year. Critical component specification of tires, engine, and aero packages are modified to suit each demanding track to win each race. The wheel is also one of the most critical components that must excel in performance to lead the team to the podium. Current F1 wheel manufacturers that are not from Japan actually have billets forged in Japan and then machine this billet that starts from a weight that approaches 50kg down to a wheel that is less than 4kg. RAYS has had many offers in the past to manufacture Formula One wheels, but we did not choose to do so because we wanted to show the world that if a wheel is to be forged by us, then our name must be the one represented in a quest to be a winning partner. We recently had an offer from a top Formula One team again to be a technical partner for the 2008 season which is an opportune time due to several regulation changes. To meet 2008 spec, we started to test wheels in 2006, however due to the recognition of our technical superiority and high level manufacturing capability, we were challenged to start a year earlier in 2007. We have met that challenge and are prepared to step on the world stage...To celebrate our first participation in our Formula One, we are proud to release the 3rd forged one piece racing wheel which is called "RE30." We increased the cross-sectional ratio to balance strength and stress distribution which is different from our current TE37 and CE28. TE37 is designed to hold big brake caliper and CE28 is design for the lightness. New RE30 is designed well-balanced strength and lightness. Please select wheel to meet your vehicle setting and performance.

I think that clarifies a lot of what Jes-Z was wondering about.

Rays told us last time we talked to them that there would be a 19" released sometime next year.

Nothing set in stone as of yet though.
