I am getting Traffic Star in 19x8 with 28 offset on the front and 19x10 with 18 offset. I know sounds crazy but we tried it on the car without tires and it seems to be fine. Mechanic told me to get 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. Is it the right size to go with? I will probably lower my car in the future. I don't mind rolling/shaving the fenders.

245/35 and 275/35 are the closest sizes to stock diameter.
That back wheel is going to pushed out pretty far, about a centimeter more than any other I've seen.

so, is 245/40/19 it too big for the front (notice 40, not 35)? Reason I want to put 40 is for better protection, taller tire.

I think it probably is too big, maybe somebody else knows for sure. All I know is that the new tire set up is supposed to be as close as possible to the stock to make sure abs and tcs and all that work right.
