Default TE37's: need some consensus on sale

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233561

^^Thread of sale in marketplace.

Since I am getting lowballed and possibly some potential buyers backing out because of the cosmetic flaws, I need some opinions. I am contemplating whether or not to get the wheels powdercoated to a more appealing color i.e. glass black, gunmetal or volk mag blue... or even back to bronze, but either way I will have all the curbage taken care of and bend taken out of the 8.5.

Getting the wheels powdercoated and fixed for all 6 wheels is roughly $400.. so I'll tack that on to the price I am asking for. So around $2700.

Let me know your thoughts.

I would never buy used-even reconditioned TE/LE's for $2700. I paid hundreds less for my Limited Edition LE's...just my opinion

Even if I am selling 8.5/9.5/10.5? with tires, volk lugs and valve stems? I think it's a fair deal since I am only fixing the surface flaws for 5 of them and fixing a bend in the 8.5.

The word "used" alone would take out 30% of its value even if they look flawless. Now take in the fact that they do have flaws.... You're selling for way too much. You need to do a little price research if you want to make the sale.

BTW, I'd powercoat them gloss black since it matches most color (gray, silver, blue, red, yellow)...

If you sold the 9.5/10.5" set you would do better I think. Your being up front and honest in saying 1 wheel is bent and that it can be repaired but that may scare others away from the good ones...

True, I figured that much. I track the hell out of these wheels and not afraid to say it, but since these are forged and backed by Volks rep.. these will last for many years to come.

why bother? the two rims I wanted (the 18x9.5) I was going to have to powder coat to match my custom black te's anyway drop the price and let the buyer deal with it!

Yeah, still working that out. Trying to find out if someone want to pickup the 8.5/10.5.

I wouldn't buy anything from an individual that's been recoated b/c you don't know what's underneath...no guarantee it was done right.

Drop the price and sell them as is, that way you are free from any and all repercussions...also the buyer gets to decide what color would work right on their car.
