Default 18X 8.5 and 18X9.5 wheel size = tire size ?

I have purchased a set of wheel 18 X 8.5 and 18 X 9.5 both with a 20 mm offset. My stock tire size is 225/45 R18 and 245/45 R18. These rims won't work with these tires will they? If not what size tires do I need ? Thanks

Why don't you think they'd work?

Wheels have been listed FS in Marketplace. I can afford new tires right now and I don't need them. Still plenty of tread on mine. Only 20k miles on car.

The stock sizes are 225/45 / 245/45

they do mount on those size wheels but you will then have a stretched look...

245/40 / 275/40 are the optimal sizes for that rim size...

Not really up on tire sizes obviously but what would be the differnce by going to a 275/35 on the rear?
