Default What size tire would you go with for 19/9.5 rims?

I have a set of Axis Hiro in staggered configuration: 19x9.5 front and 19x10.5 rear. The front tires are pretty worn due to a camber problem that wasn't detected early enough.

I need to replace the front tires. I currently have 245/35/19 Toyo T1S. I always feel that the sidewalls can come out a bit more, so that the edge of the rims will not stick out.

I'm planning on going with 255/35/19 this time around. What do you guys think. Has any of you done 255 for the front? How would going wide for the front tires affect the handling? Thanks.

If you go from a 245mm to a 255mm front tire, the increase in width is only 4 percent. I doubt that you will notice any difference.

I've got 255 up front and 285 on the rear. No problems with handling or traction at all.

Thanks, guys, for the input. 255 it is. I'm getting a pair of Toyo T1R 255/35/19 install this weekend. Hopefully they will last longer than the ones before them.

You have 245's on 9.5" rims up front? Man that has got to be streched, like crazy. I have Hiro's and have 8.5" up front with 245/35 and even those are stretched a tiny tiny bit compaired to the flushness of the 275's on the 9.5's on the rear.

With your set up I would run 265 and 295's.

i think most people do 255 on the front... you can stick with the 245 if you want that stretched look.

275 30's up front on a 9" wheel, and 295/30 on a 10" wheel for the rear. Those are the appropriate width tires per manufacturer for those rim widths.

Check my cardomain for some pics. They fit perfectly.

great sizes if you track regularly or have the power to need those sizes, otherwise, IMO they are going to be to heavy feeling for a relatively stock daily driver with minimal mods
