If you want facts, here are some. Any tire is going to be subject to irregular wear depending on the vehicle's alignment, and driving habits.

Fact: A tire with a 300 treadwear rating is going to last 300% as long as a tire with a 100 rating. These tires carry a DOT certified 320 rating. In ideal conditions, or any condition for that matter, they will last 228.57142% (theoretically in identical conditions/driving manners) longer than a Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position.

Hope that helps.

I've heard of this brand before, but the reports are mixed. They seem to represent good value but not necessarily for a performance vehicle like the Z. I'd lean towards a known like Falken.

I've not personally driven on Nanking's nor am I likely too I hope, but quite a few mates have had them on cars they've bought, and consequently changed the tyres very quickly. They are very average, and less than average in the wet.

ugh, i have these tires and all of a sudden they roar when going above 40mph. For the first few weeks they were fine, but now they are so loud. Gonna replace with something better.

I have the same set up as Miami-Z on my 350 they are not that bad for the price and held up well when I was normally aspirated if you are FI expect no grip in the first 2 gears , then again most street tyres 275 wide will not give grip in the first 2 gears with FI.

the CEO of the US importer of Nankang is a family friend.. went to high school with my dad.

check out his website for more information
http://www.tireco.com/

Nankang is one of the oldest tire manufacturers in Taiwan...(founded in 1959). they were one of the first to develop the radial tire too.. they make alot of tires for 22" and 24" wheels (hehe) just give them some time and more people will be open to them (similar to how Khumo came about)

Those are not pretty damn good, because you dont even have the correct size tire in the rear. Should be a 275/35, a 275/30 will have a small sidewall adding 4 fingers gap to your rear. I dont think Id take advice from you...

Alot of people have 275/30/19 tires running. i've driven on 275/35/19, 285/35/19 and 275/30/19. not much difference in performance other than protection of the rim (watch out for potholes) and looks(gap..sated above). both can be suffice with springs and watchful eye. The price difference between a 30 and 35 profile is crazy.
IMO. for ppl like me who are on budget it's something i'm willing to accept as tires companies make the prices.

Just cuz a lot of people run those, doesnt mean you should. My stock rear tire diameter was 26.7", with a 275/30 19 its 25.5", thats way under spec and thats why people that run 275/30 have stupid looking rear wheel gap. Its your car though, just offering advice.

no worries Alberto. the wheel gap is like a 4x4 on stock height.
sadly, thats what my car looks like right now (hopefully not for long).

The Nankangs are ok, but not for a performance machine like the ultimate 350 Z.
Maybe good enough for a torque-less Honda

Treadwear ratings are a useless benchmark. They are completely inconsistent between manufacturers.

I ran the ns-1's on my 240 they seemed to be a harder tire than the kuhmo's I had before because they lasted almost 2 years longer.
The only problem I had with the nankangs was a blowout I had right after I put 4 new ones on so that kind of sucked. I was just looking into these again the other day.

Nankangs and Wanlis are both notorious for splitting and bubbling problems. My buddies (who have owned a wheel and tire shop for the past 15+ yrs)mainly see them off of Ebay package wheels and tires and from what they've seen they won't even sell them.
