I'm kinda liking the Work wheels..they're growing on me...and at $1G CAD isn't it a steal? (w/o tires though)...

I know the offsets are +30 all around, but i could get spacers to make it come out more right?

decisions, decisions
even if you get works please please please do not go same size all around. You need a staggered set up. Do some searches for the best sizing but do not go 18x8.5 all around. Your will suffer in handling for sure

Changing tire size does affect handling, I will not argue with that. But, to say that your handling will suffer due to a non-stagered setup is just daft. It's all about how you have the overall car setup (suspension, camber, caster, toe, tire size, etc.). You want to tune the car to your preference/driving style. For me, I prefer to race on 275's all the way around because that is the way I have tuned the car, and my handling is far from suffering.

Back on topic, I say go with the Work's but with a different offset as mentioned previously.

Anyone else think those works look cheap in those offsets? Like a swear I see replicas like that with the nonconcave face all over ricer cars in my area. The works are also cast compared to the g35's forged, so for the same price, why wouldn't you get the better wheel?

ok decision is getting even more interesting, the guy w/ the g35 rays is throwing in tires w/ them now for 1100CAD =)

this poll is interesting, most ppl who actually reply would choose the g35s; however, the poll results have the works way out in front...

i guess it's just the offset of +30 that's really making the Works a bad decision

Lighter, stronger, cheaper, why is there even a question here?

Between these two, the G35's for sure. For these reasons, and I'll add they look better. That said, I got a set of Nismo's delivered yesterday, sitting in my garage in plastic wrap, inside the boxes, and they are gorgeous! I go in the garage 10 times a day just to look at 'em! Can't wait to throw them on next week!!!

Yes, I think if the offset was better, it wouldn't be as much of a question. +20 CR Kai>>>>>>g35 rays for appearance

Thats why I mentioned appearance only. Just about every every 19" wheel is going to be heavier than the g35 rays, at some point, increasing width has more of an effect than the increased weight

I don't think either would do much justice to a Z. Just save up some more and get some better wheels. I agree with whoever said those Works look kind of cheap.

I dont know if you are going the cheap route I think the G35 wheels are not a bad choice. They are by far the best looking OEM wheels IMO.

I don't know if you have seen RickDogg's car, but cheap is not a word I would use to describe it.

There's nothing wrong with Works wheels. I think the CRs are the best looking ones IMO. Problem here is the sizing that the OP is looking at. It kind of defeats the purpose of getting aftermarket wheels.

Agreed, offset needs to be more agressive.

Isn't that because Rota copied the Works design? I know that they have other wheels that are just copies, ie Nismo and P45's.

lol I have seen RickDogg's car and while it probably wasn't cheap, I don't like it. BTW jump off of the dudes nuts. Check out the work gallery and you will see some Zs that I would rather have, long before I would want before RickDog's car. I never said Works were cheap, I have a custom set of Meisters being made right now. The sizing and the wheels pictured IMO will look cheap/not good on a Z.

Well to each their own. I know Rickdogg has spend a lot of time and money on his car and it may be very pleasing to some people, but it's not really my taste. I like LEEMIKs care much better. Still, Works and Volks are like Beatle and Elvis fans. It all depends on which side of the fence you like to swing.

LOL, He was just the first person i thought of that had a set of the cast work wheels on his car. We all agree that the sizing of the work wheel by the OP is not going to be optimal for this car. Congrats on the custom Meisters you are having made would you like a cookie?

Thanks but no thanks don't eat cookies. I can't say that I have Works b/c I don't have them yet and was showing that I obviously don't think that they are cheap or they wouldn't be going on my car.

LOL, everyone's got their own taste/styles so that's cool. At least we agree on the sizing.
