i've never had any problem shipping tires and wheels through either uPS and Fedx ground. But just make sure your at home when the truck shows up at your door. Pain in the **** to reschedule shipping date.

any reputable place can do a good job such as discount tire, just tires, and many more but its not as hard to install tires on the wheels as supposed to taking them out...ur more than likely to scratch the rims when taking them off the rim than installing them!!!

When I get ready to buy I will see if they can price match, within reason.

I took my new T 1Rs, purchased from Edge Racing, to local Nissan shop. In fact I had them shipped directly to the Nissan dealer. Costs a little more but dealer knows how to mount. Plus, dealer service has right tools for alignment.

It is my opinion alignment should go with new tires.

I just had them do the alignment on my Z. Seems like this is the only place in JAX where my car would fit, too low for all the other shops.

I bought my rims from Discounttire.com and had them shipped directly to America's Tire since they're the same company. No problems. Also, ordered tires from Tirerack and had my Nissan dealer mount them for $20 per tire and then align them. Again no problem.

Tirerack has a utility to search for local recommended tire installers on their site with reviews as well, you can even have the tires shipped directly to some of the shops

I got mine installed/balanced/aligned at the dealership for $109 incl. tax.

I had a set of BFG KDW2 dropped at the dealer for $859 shipped. Could have saved some shipping charges if I wanted to wait but went overnight.

They did a fantastic job btw... even included new valve stems for free.

"I got mine installed/balanced/aligned at the dealership for $109 incl. tax. "

Another example of the high cost of living in Cali; think it cost me around 200 bucks for same work.
