Wow, I really liked your original wheels, in fact, you're the one that convinced me to get Gunmetal (if I ever get around to actually getting wheels), but I think these actually look better on your white car. The color matches both the door handles and the headlights, and at some angles, the reflection becomes very flat and the wheels start to look almost white.

Nice, very nice.

You've convinced me also NOT to get the 10.5 wheels. The work and the climate here pretty much make that not a good thing.

Default Question about rolling???

Hey dude,
You missed a call on your phone.... Bad *** set up you got there, I like alot. One question. I went with a 9.5" inch wheel in the back with a 3" lip and 275/35/19 tires. Will I have to roll the fenders???

DAMN, I like that lip.. I didn't know you could get 10.5's or get the rear 9.5's in a +12 offset. Anyone wanna buy my rear rims?? I'm gonna have to order a set of deep rears now..

Good Question, after many descisions on wheels that I have gone back on, this is the wheel I want. I also want that PHAT lip on the rears but I DONT want to roll the fenders. Is this possible?

you have convinced me that i bought the wrong color Z (i bought a SS).

Very nice, take care of it

With a 12mm offset do you still need to have the fenders rolled?

you might need to roll the fenders with a 9.5 rear 12mm offset if you drop it pretty low and use a camber correcting kit.

rear fender rolling is about $200-$250 at a reputable body shop.

i would not suggest using a hub roller to roll the rear fenders or a baseball bat.

my bodyshop guy did it the old fashioned way. my bodyshop guy heated the fender metal, rolled the fenders, touched up any paint and clearcoated the rolled underside of the fender.

looks fantastic!!!!!!!!!!

if you get wheels, go the extra mile and spend the $250 to get the fenders rolled so you get the exact wheels and look you want.

hope this helps,
john

Dont your camber rods essentiall pull the wheel BACK into the center of your car. In other words, give more room for a lower offset?

Did that make any sense?

In other words, when you drop it, the top of the wheel tucks in. Then you put the rods on and thread them back which pulls the bottom of the wheel back in. So in reality you are pulling it back into the car?

on my earlier post i forgot to tell everyone thanx for the compliments.

i remember seeing a poll on what color was least wanted on the z and the white took the cake on that poll. but i now see that i have converted a lot of people to pike peak white addicts. all of the z colors look good, but all of my cars in the past were white. white is one of the easiest to take care of, and it looks good with or without graphics.

again, thanx for the compliments!!!!!!!!!!!

hi wadd3456- i understand what you are getting at, but when you add + camber back, you are essentially trying to go back to stock settings and a wider wheel with a low offset with + camber will hit the underlip of the fender if not rolled.

hope this helps,
john

I love white a lot, but I decided not to go with it just because 2 of our other cars are also white.. but it is definately a nice color on the Z. I like how not many people have it..

So, which offset should I go with if I put 19X9.5s on the rears without having to roll the lips?

Hey car looks great!

I know you had to roll the fenders....How much did the JIC suspension lower the car?...and did you have to use any camber plates? Also, did you have enough room to go with a bigger tire....or did you go woth the 275 'cause that'll all that was available..?

Going to this same set-up...most likely....

Default Wow...

John,
The Car looks "KILLER".... That fat rear lip is unreal...... And someone all ready said it but, man, the flat silver looks much better on the white than the Gun Metal.... I have read the whole thread and I get the picture about rolling the fender but let me ask you, was there any, or much painting to be done after the rolling? is there anything you would do different than the way it was done. Also how does the car feel on the road now?

Simply beautiful. That picture alone may have influenced my decision to buy a 350z.

Mr350z, if yer in the SoCal area and are planning on doing your fenders, let me know, I know a great shop down here who did mine for me for super cheap, and it came out really clean.
