Default Tire Mounting/Alignment $$

For those who get new tires mounted to their rims and also have a car alignment done:

Based on TireRack's suggested 'PricePledgePlus' installers, average seems to be ~$25/wheel (40series atleast) for mounting balancing. But I don't know how much they might charge for alignment. So, what's a fair price to have all this done at a reputable shop (TireRack.com recommended or other) and NOT have the rims all scratched up and what not!??

Mounting/balancing per wheel is $15-30 in my area. A 4 wheel alignment is $80-120-higher end shops who use expensive racks that wont scrape your car obviously charge more. Look for a good alignment tech in your area.

Thanks for the info. Is the $15-30 w/newer istallation technology. Bc I, honestly, have no idea what's out there currently, but have heard of 'Scratchless-Tire Mounting'. I remember back in the day they had those mounting machines which used a kind of shovel or some tool to slip the tire on while the wheel was being rotated>>>I think this is probably NOT what I'd want to use on the new set of wheels I have coming in. What did they use to mount yours, if you remember? Thanks.

the place i go to charges $10 a tire to mount and balance and they don't charge you a disposal fee on top of it. It's in Los Angeles so it would not be of use to you. generally, it costs 10-15 to mount and balance around here.
