What am I tired of..... KNOCK OFF'S. I mean can't a company make their own design? Quit ripping off bigger better manufactures. I know some people whant cheaper wheels but you can keep cost down why making your own designs.

What makes a wheel/tire combo perfect? OFFSET/Tire height and width. If you have the right offset with the right tire combo on an ugly wheel it's still going to look way better than a crappy offset and tire combo on a Volk or whatever high dollar wheel you have.

I agree... but only for black on black. Any other color, depending on rims and set-up of course, might look pretty cool.

I agree. If someone puts knock off wheels on, I instantly dismiss it. I will not ever admit to it looking good. Take your chinese pos and roll on over to the honda meet where you belong.

Even those Rota P45r wheels or whatever? I think they don't look too bad on that SilverStoneZ I always see around this site. Yeah, of course they could use MUCH better sizing/offsets, and have no idea about their 'structural integrity' ..but simply appearance-wise.. NO? I agree and think the knock-off companies are anything but 'original' and killing NISMO or whatever, whatever company's business, but you know they are making a hell of a lot more money doing it this way as opposed to making their own creations. Strictly from a business perspective, would you go with a sure thing where you know your cash inflow would be insane, or take chances on a design ppl may or may not even like? Rota is making MAD money right now, I'm sure.

Btw, I am not agreeing with their rationale or saying anybody should/should not buy these, bc I don't know if I could ever rationalize such an investment.

But I DO know that my 'Works' are coming in, just a week from now!

Would I steal another design to make more money? No. Because I feel in this life respect is more important than cash. And if I was the owner of Rota, blantantly ripping off people's designs, I know I'd go to the grave a rich but empty man.

Why can't people spend another couple hundred bucks and buy real wheels?

Think NISMO has tried suing them? I'm sure ROTA probably found some loop-hole to get out of it, like maybe.. because the offsets are SO different, it is not the "exact same wheel" blahblahblah . Anyways, I definitely respect your opinion... but since you drive a Z and seem like a respectable guy, I guess, and to somewhat paraphrase you, "you could go to the grave a rich and very FULFILLED man!" Haha.. j/k. I know I will strive to, though, as money is nothing w/o respect and dignity.

Shame on you ROTA! BAD, BAD knock-off manufacturer!! Hahah..

How about this one: I’m sick of the trend that people think there’s such a thing as rims being on a car is a “trend!” How is getting any form of rims, style, color, look, a trend? Last I checked, rims were being bought or put on vehicles for a damn many years now and a trend is supposed to only be temporary. That’s like saying, hey that guy across the street puts on clothes every day, I’ve decided because he does, I will too! Now, don’t get me wrong, not flaming the intent of the thread poster, but those flaming colors of the rims, rim manufacturers, etc. is ridiculous. Buying aftermarket rims on a car is based on PERSONAL PREFERENCE, not because everyone has it, and even thought it looks ugly, I’ll pay the several thousand to have them too. Do you really think that’s why someone will buy a Volk’s rim? Can’t stand the damn look, but just cuz everyone across the street has them I’ll buy them too?

I guarantee everyone flaming something being played out because they’ve seen it on multiple people or cars has an article of clothing, watch, jewelry piece, etc in their possession that THOUSANDS of other consumers have as well…so I guess that makes them a trend follower too right…or maybe, just someone who liked how that t-shirt looked on them….?

Actually any type of style is usually based on trends. Whenever you think something "looks good" or "looks bad" that's probable based on an opinion influenced by the world around you.

werd....I don't agree with Rota's copying of other people's designs however I do sympathize with people who can't afford wheels.

Then they should keep the stockers and buy stickers to personalize their vehicle.

This is my neighbor. I get window with glass, he gets window with glass. I get step, he must get a step. But then I get walkman ... and he can't afford.

Completely agree with the black thing! And I'm glad you're talking about a wheel and not just the rim portion of the wheel. Heavy chrome wheels just don't fit a performance car either.

I really really hate people(not the person but what they do) that buy wheels and their car has a 3 inch gap between the tire and the fender; put a drop on it. I haven't lowered my Z but it doesn't have a 3 inch gap and i don't have the cash right now.

People that have a sunkin wheel(to much + offset). You spend money on wheel and tires and don't get a proper offset it doesn't have to be extreme just reasonable.

Inproper tire size..now this is a little tricky, I don't mind really stretched tires or big meaty tires because these are certain styles, and people like what they like. What i don't like is seeing someone buy a new set of exactly the same tire sizes as oem and mounting them on there new wheels ...it's a waste of money.

Unless that wheel you bought was one of a kind and came in a oem size, your retarded and you still have no reason to have the same tire size. Of course unless the wheels and tires couldn't fit unless you bought all oem sized stuff but i have yet to see this.....
