Default new lugs!

just thought I'd share some pics of my new lug nuts and the reason why I got them...maybe ppl are in the same boat as me.

I swap rims several times a month for autoX events, and the lug nuts that I got originally w/ my work rims started to show wear...the main problem are the 'lock' lug nuts...they get stuck on the socket and are sometimes really hard to get unstuck.

here's what I currently have:
Rays-black lug nuts

here's what I just got...IMO they don't look as nice, but they come w/ a special slim socket, the ends are rotating, and they don't need locks b/c they're not a typical socket type.

I got the Kics and haven't had a problem with them, but I probably have not taken then on and off as much as you.

that's wierd. I have the Mcgard spline drive and I tried sticking a socket both SAE and metric on it and they all were either too small and woundn't fit or too big and would spin. Mcgard also has a keyed tuner lock set that replaces one lug if you want extra security. Great lugs BTW the quality is first rate and the black finish is very nice. I really like the spinning collar feature it saves the rim from getting scratched up. I had mutegi (or something like) spline drive tuner lugs before and those could be removed with a standard socket, so those were not secure but the Mcgards are.
