Default Rotating Tires & TPMS

I am currently debating between 255/40s all around, from many a post by myself and looking around into and researching this info. Let me just say up front, HOLD your comments about debating whether or not you agree to this set-up. I am SIMPLY asking for info into the TPMS issue! So, my whole reason for the 'same size all around' thing is for equal traction on the 4 corners and to be able to rotate. But this stems another question yet. If rotating tires using an X-pattern and I want to use TPMS, would the TPMS work after the rotating? I just know that when I've changed from winter snows to stock wheels in-between seasons, there were times when I put the rear wheel/tire on the left side instead of the right and TPMS didn't function properly. Pending the answer to this question, I guess, will make or break the decision on the 255/40 all around or 255/40 front and 265/40 rear. I didn't think it would be so complicated/difficult to do this!

No. The sending units are tuned to a specific position:
Left front. Left rear. The units may send pressure information, but for what position I don’t know.

I was hoping that wouldn't be so, but if this is the case, I may want the staggered set-up now . Ideally 255/40 fronts and 275/40 rears. I know this is aggressive w/the size/offset wheels, but I will have to work with what wheels I have now. And the deadline for cancelling my order has almost run out, if not already!

265/40s are just way too expensive/hard to get and hopefully not TOO much tire bulge on a 18x9.5", +12 wide rim with the 275/40. But still I dunno.

Any +feedback is definitely appreciated! PICS are MORE THAN welcome, too.

I run a 285 on a 9.5, so a 275 will be fine
