Anybody use Dunlop Direzza Dz101??
Any reviews on them? I used the search feature but didnt find anything referring to them.
I'm looking for a good value tire. I'm not doing any crazy driving, no track stuff.. just something that will last a long time and not do anything crazy to my cars alignment/performance. Right now they have Bridgestone Potenza's
I have an 03' 350Z Touring - 6 speed.
Need 245/45 R18.
When I bought the car it had the same size on the fronts and backs, haven't had any issues, will likely do it again so I can rotate my tires. Again I am not worried about losing '.089% handling performance' by having a wider front tired.. I just drive to work and back.
Any reviews?

Bridgestone Potenza RE040
Front 225/50R17 $155
Rear 235/50R17 $173
Dunlop Direzza DZ101
Front 235/45R17 $98

The Direzza's were recommended to me by a couple people. Although they are cheap, I was told that they had pretty good performance. I couldn't find an exact match for the stock sizes, so I used a tire calculator to find the closest size.
* Ride quality is excellent.
* The tread pattern looks very aggressive on the car.
* The "rim protector" is a nice feature.
* I noticed an increase in grip, especially during long off-ramps. However, I'm not sure if that can be attributed to the slightly wider sized tires.
* The sidewalls aren't as stiff as the RE040's. When I rock the steering wheel side to side, it feels slightly....different. I was told that the sidewall stiffness can be fixed by increasing tire pressure.
* Wet traction was comparable to the RE040's.
* Grip fades slightly faster than the RE040's as the tire gets hotter during agressive driving (auto-x).
* I haven't had them long enough to comment on treadwear.
Keep in mind that the differences between these two tires is very small. Basically, this is an affordable tire with good performance. I would recommend this tire.
