I just replaced my stock 17" tires from America's tire with Goodyear F1 GS-D3. I ordered them on Friday and they arrived on Saturday but I wasn't able to put them on until today. When they put them on it seems like they were already used. I asked the salespeople and they ensured me that it was new with the markings still on the tire. There are still a lot of tread but seems like it was already drvien on (maybe like a couple hundred miles). The sticker was already taken off but I was curious if anyone has encountered the same circumstances??? I was in a time crunch so I had to leave and was not able to prove if the tires were used or not.

you're probably right. Last yr. i worked for the North West biggest tire company. They did just that. Customers would drive on them a couple of hrs. or days and would come back saying they didn't like them. So we would take them back, wash them, put dressing on them, and wam bam we have a spanking new tire. So yea.......

From my experience, America's tire is a top notch place. If I had my doubts about the tires though, I wouldn't accept them.
I use to order primarily from tirerack, but you can get America's tire to price-match the tirerack. If you go through tirerack, there's not tax, but you pay for shipping. With America's tire, there's tax, but no shipping and since you buy through them, mounting/balancing is much cheaper.
