If you do move, you can always buy a set of the RE960AS (or Blizzaks, or some other snow tire) and have them mounted in the winter. Just store your summer tires, and when summer comes around, have the summer tires mounted and store the RE960AS.

Or, you can buy a second set of wheels, and have one set for winter and one for summer.

Okay all,

Tonight I am going to the Tire store to have my new Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Positions put on my Z. I hope I have made the right choice. I found a good deal on that Tirerack website and the tire store matched it so I'm looking at 950 out-the-door (mounting, balancing, taxes, etc) for the set of 4.

Sound good???

IMO RE050As are pretty good tires. But in that price range I would have gone with the PS2s.

Well the thing with the price is that the PS2's were gonna be 1020 before labor and shipping. shipping adds 80 bucks and labor is 100 so then i'm lookin at more like 1300 for those. i figured 350 dollars saved wasn't too bad, eh?

It's all a matter of perspective but I wouldn't worry about your choice. You got some good tires with the Bridgestones. I'm the type who is willing to reach the extra 350 if I'm that close to the PS2s. I don't have any personal experience with the RE050As, (driven G35s with stock RE050s) so I'm looking forward to your reviews.

Good deal. Well from the sounds of this thread, I figured I'd be good with the RE050As even though the PS2s are superior. I'm sure I would've liked the Michelins but I wouldn't mind a little extra pocket change. I'll keep you posted as to the performance of these guys.
