currently getting my wheels painted need new tires i want to go wider. which size should i get for a staggered setup? i was thinking 245/35/18f 265/35/18r is this to wide for my wheels? or will it look funny?

Are those wheels painted or powder coated? very nice.
The stock OEM wheels with the front 8/rear 8.5 will fit the 245/275 40/18s?
I'm thinking about that tire set-up as well...

 

thanks, those oem wheels are custom painted/clearcoated at a local paint shop with GM 9004gunmetal paint. Yeah...the fitment is fine with rear oem 8.5.

 

285s are a bit of a challenge to get mounted, but 275s look and work great.

 

That's on 8½"/9½" wheels (like when people go to Nisno wheels), stock are 8"/8½".

If you look at the recommended wheel width for tires sizes you are interested, that will give you an idea of what the largest recommended size is.

 

i understand 275/40/18 on oem stock 8.5 wheel will slightly exceed the recommended minimum width requirement.
i did measured the inside width of both the tire(275/40) and the wheel before i had them mounted. They actually fit safely with room to spare.
