Default Messed up finish on stock wheels

While at the dealer this morning for a pesky electrical problem that was frying my radar detector, I was walking around the car and noticed what appeared to be brake dust on the wheels. Long story short it wasn't brake dust, as a matter of fact it looked like the finish on the wheels had worn through in spots. All four wheels had the same issue to varying degrees. Anyway mentioned it to the service guy, who called over the service manager, etc. and as it turns out the finish on the wheels was defective.

They asked a few of the standard questions like "What did you clean it with ?", "Did I run through any chemicals?" etc. and when I told them I had used the supplied cleaners exclusively on the car they shuffled around a bit but finally said they needed to be replaced. So.... they called parts and had them bring out four brand new wheels They are being installed on the car as we speak! My cost..... $0.

Just thought I would share that with anyone who might be having a similar problem. I know I should have taken pics but didn't think about it until after I had left the dealer.
