Default Getting Spray Paint off the Wheels-HELP

HI ALL,
I just bought a set of used RO_JA wheels. The wheels are in great condition but the previous owner spray painted the inside of the wheels silver "to clean them up". Dirt + Paint = rough surfase. How can I get the spray paint off in safe way so that the powder coted surfase (original) does not get dameged? I found this on the web : http://www.parish-supply.com/mots_40.htm Thank you for your time and help.
Sincerely,
Ralph

Are you talking about the inner portion of the rim behind the spokes, or the spokes themselves?

I'm talking about the inner portion of the rim behind the spokes. Sorry if I haven't made that clear.

Doesn't look like that product is safe for paint/powdercoat. You can try wetsanding it down until its smooth.

You could try a light solvent such as mineral spirits, followed by soapy water.
