Hi everyone, before the kitty comes out, I've searched... I'm on this forum day and night it seems...
Ok now that I have my Bronze GTS' as well as my Stoptech BBK, I don't see why I shouldn't add a nice set of lugs as well.
I wanted the Project-Kics Neo-Chro lugs for a long time, but have heard things about them being easily stripped, as well as the "problem" of open ended lugs increasing the chances of bolt rust and this rust leaking onto the wheels (can anyone confirm this?)

As you can see, the color is Super Black and the wheels are bronze... Any suggestions? Maybe even a photoshop or two?
Thanks....

The open-ended Kics 40s I have on my GT-Ss have rust sitting inside them 24/7. however, i've yet to see any leak out onto the lip or face...and if it did, I wash the car weekly, and touch-up the wheels with a cloth about every 3 days to remove brake dust anyway, so I can't imagine rust sitting on them long enough for it to matter.

I've used the R40 and R40 Neo Chros on my GTS wheels and never had a problem with them rusting. You do however need to hand loosen and tighten them or else they can be stripped. I would really suggest you get these.

The more I look at the Neo-Chro's the less I like them, something about Open-ended lugs doesn't sit well me.
I checked the Gold Wheels section of the board and ran across this post and I really liked the way the blue lugs (yes blue) looked against the gold wheels.
Saturday I met-up with Najnahto, a cool board member, and picked up his set of Blue Work lugs with locks for a steal. They are going on today, I'll post pics when I'm done.
Thanks again guys...

Seriously, if it wasn't for the members on this site my ride wouldn't look anything like it does...
The lug install might have to wait a little while, I don't think my wrench will fit without scratching the lug holes... Call me ****, but I'd hate for that to happen. I may drop by Status and see if they can do it for me... Rick's a pretty cool guy and it shouldn't take more than a few mins.

Since we're on the subject, does anyone know if Rays' offers "touch-up" paint similar to their time-attack paint? I know the day will come that I'll have a scratch or so on the spokes...

Ok, here's my question, how do you torque them if you are hand loosening and tightening them??

A torque wrench will allow you to dial in in perfectly. you don't have to worry about that when loosening, and frankly, I don't own a torque wrench and never have used one, i just put what I think is the right pressure on the lug and haven't stripped any yet.

black McGard Spline drive with lock is what I'd go with - frankly wouldn't waste my time on anything else (personally) - they even do the lock in black too
closed end (no rust), steel threads (wont strip like all the alunimum ones eventually will), and the color will not fade like the all the duralumin based lugs eventually will
we dont sell em, but you can contact them directly:
