I bought my winter tires from tirerack, and was more than satisfied. I'd recommend them.

I also buy from TireRack: good selection, reasonable prices and quick delivery. TireRack will tell you if tires are in stock.

I have used both tirerack.com and discounttire.com and both have great service. Discount tire carries some brands that tirerack doesn't and vice-versa, so it kind of depends on what tire you are looking for. I just ordered Falken FK452 from discounttire.com and it was free shipping.

I would stick to the oem sizes. one advantage of going with a 35 series would be you could go with a wider tire with the same diameter as the oem tire. You want to stay as close to oem diameter as possible to avoid screwing with the VDC (if your car is so equipped).

I haven't ever bought tires online, but I bought tires for my wifes car and my truck at my local Discount Tire store (Bothell, Wa) and was very happy with the service and the prices.

I bought my T1 Rs from EdgeRacing...best price at the time. I've seen their name pop up from others on here.

I like NTB. They have shops in Florida called "Tire Kingdom." You can find a tire you like on Tirerack, order it from them and charge you the same price. You still pay shipping but then you can deal with them for warranty issues if needed. And if they have a Hunter DSP400/600, have them do your alignment too. They're cool with custom alignments too if you want to set up for autocrossing or drifting. They'll also get you springs/struts, even coilovers from them and install them for you. Check them out.

I have used Tire Rack, was more than pleased. However, it seems that their prices have gone up sharply over the years. Last time I checked, I think their prices were in the same ballpark (maybe less $30) for a set of 4 as my local tire guys. A few years ago I think they were like $120 cheaper than my locals....ahhhhh inflation .
