Question Odd discovery at the tire shop.

I have an 03' Touring model and I needed new tires, the ones I was on were the ones from original owner.

Well I knew that I had 245/45's all the way around even though the front wheels were supposed to be 225/45's. I assume the previous owner had put the 245 tires on the front for some reason, likely to rotate. I went to get new tires and was going to have them put on the way the factory specs with the 225 in the front. The tire guy looked at my rim and then measured it, and the front wheel is actually 245 also.

Does this mean that someone, somewhere, for some reason, took another pair of stock touring rears and replaced the front wheels? WHY?

I wonder what this is doing to work with my VDC... yikes.

P.S.
Weirdest s#!t is now
my drivers window works
again after the new
tires, when it stopped
working last week

Your numbers are very confusing. You are quoting wheel width in mm. Its possible that someone put 18 x 8.0 inch wheels on both axles.

In 2003/2004/2005, the Perf and Touring came with 18x8" wheels all around, not 7½" as listed above. The only 7½" wheels were 17" diameter, i.e. Base and Enthu. and Touring AT.

I have 245's all around. It makes the car more neutral in corners. Less understeer.
