Question Volk GTU's-Powder Coat or Not??

I have been considering powder coating my 18x8.5/18x10 Volk GTU's either gloss or flat black. They are currenlty the gun metal center with a polished lip combination that is offered directly from the Volk. I have had these rims on my silver Z for 4 years and I think I am ready for a change. I would like to get some feedback from you guys on if this is a good idea or not.

I have been told that powdercoating a 2 piece wheel can be a problem. The issue that has come up is that once the two peices of the wheel have been powdercoated you can run into issues reassembling them. (ie. the powdercoating is too thick and will not allow the rims to torque together properly.) Does anybody have any experience or input on that?

Wow. Another owner of GT-U's?! It does not seem to be a very popular rim. I have had my set for 4 years and have yet to see another Z/G with that rim.
