Default Dunlop Direzzas (Good buy)?

Can anyone give me there updated thoughts on these tires? I searched but only review I saw was a year old. Do they hold up well? How much tire noise is there? And how do they handle in the rain? Any info. would be great.

Thanks

I have a set on the car now. They came with the car when I bought it. I have put about 5k miles on the car and they are doing fine. They are typically fine in dry weather but water on the ground is a little stressful. My Falkens even on a much wider rim has far better traction.

Quiet, sticky, good wet traction, long wear.

I had them for a while. Decent tires for pretty cheap.

good tire especially for the price. wet traction is good and there is some road noise.

I asume you're talking about the Direzza DZ101 and not the new Direzza Z1 Sport. I've owned a couple sets of DZ101's. I use them mostly for drift events, but I've used them for autocross and street as well. I would say that on a scale from one to ten, their performance is five, average. Their worst feature is their soft sidewalls and their best feature is the low price. Currently, I use 235/45 in the front and 245/45 in the rear mounted on 17x8.5 wheels. When I had these tires mounted to the stock 17's, the sidewall flex was horrible. Stretching them out on the 8.5 inch wide wheels made quite a difference.

If you are looking for a budget street tire to get from point A to B and occasionally blast through the gears or if you are a drifter looking for a cheap tire with average performance, than this is the tire for you.
