Default Tire Manufacturers

Just bought a set of 19" NISMO S-Tune wheels, and was wondering what sizes would be ideal, tire wise. I'm hearing a whole lot of different sizes, and I'm not sure which one will work best. Incase anyone doesn't know, the rears are 19x9.5 and the fronts are 19x8.5. Let's hear some opinions. Thanks!

Okay, that's taken care of, I know the tire sizes I'll need. Now, what would you guys recommend choosing for tires? I've been told the Nitto NT555 tires will be best in this size - 275/235/19 rear and 245/35/19 front. Let's hear some opinions, again.

By the way, I hope you all love me for editing the thread and not creating a new one. Yes, my feet are below my ankles. Kiss them. Thanks for helping me out with this, guys.

That's what I thought, too. But, now my tire guy is telling me I need to do a 245/25/19 and a 265/25/19. I don't like the sound of that.

Sorry to say but your tire guy doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about.

Find a new tire guy. A 25 profile tire is just ridiculous. Thats riding on a rubber band.

These are the recommended sizes by nismo, and will keep the speedo/VDC in check. They also offer a fairly good amount of performance tires in these sizes. Nice wheel choice btw

Front 18x8.5 rim 245/35/18 Nitto 555
Rear 18x9.5 rim 275/35/18 Nitto 555

On my Nismo LMGT4 rims they are perfectly flush with the wheel wells. A 1" drop would be the perfect stance and profile.

Trust me, the Nismo wheels are ANYTHING BUT flush. They are nice and they sits well with a non-dropped car but they need spacers desperately of you're dropped - I know because I used to have them. On my350z.com you should be VERY careful and think it through before you say things like:

-Great Offsets
-Perfectly Flush
-Hella Flush
-etc...

If the wheels aren't at least 19x9.5 and 19x10.5, the tires aren't 275+, and the offsets are not in the low 20s you're not even close - Sorry but we are the Offset Police and we are out here to get you

Back on OP, I would go for 275s or - in my opinion - you can even go 285s. My friend's got 285s on a 19x9.5 and it looks awesome.

^^^ haha so true.

i'm running 19x8.5+10f and 19x9.5+9r and i'm don't dare use the words "hella flush".

to the opt, your options are basically

255/35/19f and 275/35/19r
or
245/35/19f and 275/35/19r

Those are the tires that match Oem specs the closest. Though for the GT model Nissan put on 265/35/19 rear tires iirc.

Well, sorry if your opinion differs from mine. But I look at my car every day. And I see a perfectly flush stance for the wheel well. Perhaps I should have clarified my original post to clearly state that as my opinion. Now if your opinion is different then mine thats fine. But don't backhand people for having there own opinions. Having noted that you have had these rims and needed spacers after a drop then I may be following your suggestion.
When I drop my Z an inch and the tires loose that flush appearance then spacers might be what I need. You obviously know more about tire offsets and such then I do. But...

Beuty is in the eye of the beholder. Perfection is in the mind of the individual. And opinions are like *** holes... everbody has one

Hey, no offense was intended. I know why you like what you like and we're really just trying to get you to come over to the dark side !!! I used to have these and since my car is dropped around 1.4" it was sitting a bit too tucked for me. I'll show you in this pic taken in July.

I'd like to go with a 285 in the rear but I can't find a tire that's 285/35. Only 285/30. I'll go with 275, but I do need opinions on tires.

. . .

TIME FOR A NEW THREAD!
