Default Best way to buy drift/auto X tires?

So I kept my 18" stock rims in hopes of putting some tires on to f around in once and a while.

I've never participated ina drift event because I dont want to burn through my $800 tires, so whats the best/cheapest way to get some tires to burn so I can get out there?

Any secrets, brands/models, tire store seconds, etc that people know about that fit our 18" stockers?

get used tires off ebay and/or your local tire shop. used OEM 03-05 rays track wheels are light and good for drifting too. typically you can go thru one set of rears each time (if you're really on it) and fronts will last two times or longer.

Federal Tires are STUPID CHEAP! They also used steel reinforced sidewalls to limit deflection when drifting.
