Aggressive Wheels and Stretched Tires....Welcome
Ya I was thinking about going 20mm or15mm front and rear, still trying to figure a few things out....Car went back into the shop today so I still have time to decide
As far as dropping the rear more.....the car was on jacks all day, the day before and morning of the show....thats why the rear looks a bit high, after the weight of the car and evrything has settled, the car dropped just a little bit more ....Either way there is still a gap between tire and fender in the rear, but I maxed out the coilovers both front and rear
I am running tein flex coilovers, is there anyway to alter the rear to go lower?
prob not, being coilovers and not drop springs, but if there is please enlighten me

Pull out the tape measure and see how much space you actually have. Best way to do it. That way have you can double check the quesstimates you get (not that most people here shouldn't be able to get you close). It looks like you have quite a bit of room though.
Puertorican why dont you just look into what others have done? Theres a ton of people here with a 19x9.5/10.5 running similar tire size. Just find out what offsets they run and run the spacers so you can match theirs
Well I have, and the 20mm looks perfect IMO, but I need to try and mod the rear to see how much lower I can get it to go, then cut the fender liner and take it from there....I want to stay away from Rolling or pulling fender, because there is nooooo one here that can do a good job...My boy went to get his done and......they pulled out a bat and made an attempt, and lets just say he ended up grabbing the bat from them and doing it himself
. Not only was that ghetto as hell and you can here the paint cracking, but after doing it himself they still charged an unreasonable price.
you have to shave fenders first then pull, rolling sucks, i personally just shaved the rears no rubbing and you can see how far past fender my wheels are. no pulling at all and zero rubbing

FTD350z-Ya, color is Laguna Seca Blue
angelzhope720- thanks, your car looks sick too
Toby-22- I have been looking for a fender roller/ heat gun for a while now, and no one seems to have them available..... There is one shop I found, but when I looked at there work, I noticed paint cracking in the fender and a few dents/dimples
, asked if they would let me rent it from them, but they said no......I might be moving up to San Antonio very soon, so I might just get it done up there, until then I will just shave fenders .

-puertorican - you just got a paint job. you should of just did what i did before repainting my car and just take a hammer and hit the inside fenders so they can make it look perfect after the paint job. no need for a fender roller

yea this island blows...everyone wanna make a dollar
I notice with aftermarket bumpers don't have plastic undertrays
has anyone try and fab up a thin sheet of plastic( i.e. plastic trash can thickness) to attach to the bottom of these bumpers so that it slides across pavement
cause when I scrape I could careless cause it's plastic and not paint or the bumper itself...
cause you ever tug on you bumper there pretty strong
I think a plastic bottom to most of the aftermarket bumpers would go a long way
^^^
is that a crazy idea

KingBaby do you know about the "Home Depot Splitter" ??
here's my thread on Driver about it, it does it's job extremely well while looking pretty good
http://g35driver.com/forums/interior...t-bumpers.html
It's been 3 years since I introduced the HD splitter to the G crowd, now I got an actual undertray in the works that will cost roughly $100 and some dremeling, but it's gonna look awesome. It involves lexan plastic and CF vinyl wrap, I will post the DIY in a few weeks when I finish it.
here's my car with the reversed HD lip btw

oh and a test fit of my new wheels to make up for all my jibber jabber

looks good for G35s
isn't that what that one asian cat who tunes Porsches does...it does work
I was thinking something more like platic taps or undertray so that the bumper skates rather than crush and fall apart!
EDIT: WOW

Fart I got them straight from the source, the guy over at DPE his name is Jojo, same guy who helped Royal T with his old DPE setup with the CF lip.
I can't say enough good things about my dealings with him and DPE in general, dude probably gets few hundred emails per week and he never took more than 2 days to respond to my email throughout the whole process. So yea I know a lot of vendors will do the disappearance thing on you after you pay, but you can skip all that if you go straight to the source like I did.
King yea the HD rubber probably does a better job of absorbing the impact when you make contact with pavement because the material is spongy, it's not actually rubber, it's a mixture of rubber and something else so it's very light and very flexible.
But yea the Lexan plastic undertray will look better and well, Lexan is pretty fckin bulletproof, ****'s hard to damage, so it will look better but I would still prefer not to have it kiss pavement. I didn't mind contacting the pavement with the HD lip at all because it took the punishment real well, but with the lexan I will be super careful
