Is ther a DIY thread on this? I tried searching "A-Arm cutout" with no luck...

I have been wondering if i was bottoming out my coils or if that knocking noise was something else hah...you kind of describer pretty well what i am experiencing though...

A little bit more info and some more suplimentary photos would be all that i need

i guess tires like re-11's and advan neova's are not that great for stretching? i think they are harder compound. im gonna go with the 235/255 setup. so should i just stick with the toyo t1r's ive seen them on a few stretched cars. and its kind of pointless spending the money on good tires when performance seems kind of out the window at this point correct?

 

i no this ant the suspension thread but what if i install coils an dnt have pre load?? am i suppose to or will the spring just sit there till i hit a big dip then it will move around?? any help please??

well went into the shop tonight and ended up ordering 235/35/19 front and 255/35/19 rear hankook v12's. the price on toyos were crazy for some reason. these are supposed to be decent tires for the money. and i didnt want fk452 cause they are ****. also got kics 10mm spacer front and back although may trade the back for a 15mm

 

should of gotten the fk452. good tire for stretching. i like the look of the stretch too.

 

really over the hankook? why? i could still change the order i guess it hasnt been put through i kind of just winged it since i was there ...i didnt know much about the hankook just that ive been seeing them a bit latley. i wanted the toyos. 452 were way cheaper but like a **** tire i want some performance? any other suggestions? whats wrong with the hankook v12

 

me and close friends have good luck with the fk452. i like the way they make my TE wheels look. They are pretty quiet too for how much camber i was running and how low the tread was.

i have another friend with the hankooks ventus v12s. stretch doesn't look appealing to my eyes and a bit meaty looking. also seems to wear down pretty fast where it cambers.

 

I've used both the v12 and the 452, here's my opinion:

The v12's are fairly sticky so don't last as long and they're a little loud. Plus they cost more.

The 452's cost less, are proven to stretch nicely, are not as loud as the hankooks, and offer similar performance.

Honestly, my hankooks would slip in turns or when wet, the falkens have not done it yet (about 5k miles on them)

 

lets say i like to drive sideways quite a bit. am i going to have to worry about the soft sidewalls on these tires or losing pressure or? i mean its not a crazy stretch at all compared to people in this thread.

 

i was told by the shop to get the 452's but i wanted a bit of performance they say the 452 last forever lol. and i would have saved like 300 bucks. so i could call em and tell him to switch it. see i didnt have time to research i was in the store as i already went in there thinking i was gonna order toyos.

from what superblack said i dont want them to look like what u just described the v12's as.

im not looking for some **** tire thats cheap and good to stretch. cause remember my stretch isnt crazy. so i dont mind spending money on decent tires thats why i went with the hankooks but my friend is saying to soft of sidewalls and u say they look like **** and wear fast. im hoping my driving style with this size tires and stretch doesnt have to change. i didnt go with 452 cause they are cheap...but if they are proven well....i dunno id spend more money to get something better that looks good. but its another 500$ for the toyos and i know they stretch nice and look good.

 

the fk452 are a fairly low price comparing but doesn't necessarily mean its a $#!t tire. I think its just a good value. they go sideways no problem and perform well imo (spirited driving) no problems in the rain either.
i will be going on my second set (not because of wear - want more stretch so changing up the specs). had BFGoodrich before and they were really noisy. friend has pirelli's and I find them noisy as well.

fk452 recently had a price drop. they use to be pretty expensive.

 

yah i can get these for really cheap. need more opinions on hankook v12 vs t1R vs FK452 for a good strech 235 on 9.5" and 255 on 10.5"

hmm thats helpful ^ what camber are you running and offset in that picture. do u have a pic of ur 452

that tire doesnt look much differnt then my 275

 

19x10 235/35 coming tomorrow. Got the wheels today and throwin' em on tomorrow...first set of 19's and lowest offset wheel i've owned. We'll see how it goes.
