Default Need lugnut info!!!!

So I'm trying to find some red lugs for my track wheels when I powder coat them and in doing so I realized that there is sooo much info on little thing. I tried searching for answers but came up with nothing. I don't know when/if I should get short, semi-long, long, open/close ended. I'm gonna be dropped on GF210's running 25mm (R) and 20mm (F) spacers. Thanks for any help and if there is a thread that explains everything please post it up or make it a sticky for those of us who aren't smart enough to find it

The length of the lug nut depends on the length of exposed lug. Too short a lug nut and you bottom out on the lug. Not good.

Here's a general rule on lugs and lug nut safety. The length of the exposed lug thread should be equal to or greater than the diameter of the lug.

Most “show” wheels have closed lug nuts for aesthetics. They look clean. Open lug nuts apply to certain competition rules where you must see the lug. Racers will also use an extended lug nut so that it clears the wheel for easy removal and install.

if you run spacers, i would suggest getting longer studs. i hav 15mm up front, and they lwft only 3 threads exposed. knowing this is not safe, i swapped out to 10mm longer studs. so i got much more hold on them. my 25mm rears came with pre pressed studs so i got alot of hold there too.

my opinion, the more thread you can get, the better. get longer studs, and extended lugnuts

If you spacers didn't come with studs in them or longer studs to replace the oem, definately get longer studs.

The spacers I'm going to use have buit in studs so it's cool to get a set of muteki short open ended lugs? From everything being described I think it should have more than enough thread for the short due to the built in studs.

If you're using the stock oem studs with kics spacers, your wheel should fit if it has the voids on the back of it. I would get the open end lugnuts though.
