I thought the Volk GT-S were the most common? I've read a few threads where people were calling them played out.

In my opinion, there are over 66,000 members on this forum. I'm sure majority of this population is not running VOLK wheels. You see VOLK wheels everywhere on this forum because every person that buys them are so happy and proud of them that they post pictures. I bet that not even half the people on this forum, probably even less than half, run VOLK. I bet there are a lot more Rota's and other replica wheels that are being used. You just don't see it as much as VOLK because these members who purchase cheaper wheels aren't necessarily posting photos of them and they probably won't.

No one said anything about a majority. But Volk is definitlely one of the most common, if not the most, brands here.

Work is also becoming more and more popular, but I don't think Work will ever surpass Volk on these forums. Too many people are infatuated with the Volk name. I like them, too. In fact, I'm looking for a set of Progressive Spokes.

That's cool, as long as we're talking about these and not the ME's.

I might start a campaign of anybody with a G who gets the ME's, stealing them so I can be the only one this spring.

I'm going to have to disagree. I HIGHLY doubt that out of the 66,000 members on here that "majority" of them have VOLKS.

The quality of Volk speaks for itself. Are they the most popular brand for Z/G's. Probably. Are they played out, not by my standards. Is the perception that every Z/G has them... Yes. But again that's just what's perceived because there are countless threads of people so happy with their purchase.

Volk FTMFW!

I'm sure most of the hardcore enthusiasts have had Volk on their rides at least ONCE during their lifetime. How can you not?! It's like pure hawtness. I had 3 sets of volk so far but switched to Work because I wanted to have a bit more flexibility in offset and it's rarer to see Work wheels than Volks.

I'm sure one of these days I'm going to pick up another set of Volks

You def. tend to see more folks with Volks and Work wheels....As mentioned above, you see more post about these particular wheels because they are the "higher standard"... Being that my Z is my DD, I would never think of putting Volks on my car, but when I get a beater, I may jump on the bandwagon.

+1

makes plenty of sense.

like you said, on an online forum, it sure SEEMS like everyone has Volks but thats just not the case imo. around town, for every person with Volks i see 2 or 3 people with some other brand.

people confuse real life with internet life.
