Default Please help with tire size selection for 19" rims

I'm stuck and confused.

These are the sizes I was planning to buy:
245/35/19 Front
275/35/19 Rear

The 245's can be found but the 275/35/19 are out of stock for both the Toyo and the Bridgestone S-03 and it could be 1-2 months before they are available.

I need advice. I can get 275/30/19 for the rear but I'm concerned about the small profile. To give you some background, my car is not a daily driver and will be rarely driven in the winter so I shouldn't have many pothole situations.

Do you think this combo would be ok:
245/35/19
275/30/19

or do you think I should go with a different combination. Your comments are greatly appreciated as I am a novice when it comes to tire size selection.

Thanks.

those are the sizes i'm planning to get. i think it works well because it'll be about the same diameter as the original tire and wheel set up. plus i've seen a few people here with those specs.

isnt the 275 30 19 too small. The stock height is a 275 35 19. If you go with the smaller tire you may screw up the vdc abs etc.
Maybe im wrong and it wont hurt anything.

I run the same size tires front and rear to and from and at the auto-x with no adverse affects.

It s not the 275 35 19 i am concerned about. In vics first post he asked as an option if the 275 30 19 would be ok. This is what i was wondering myself also. The difference in overall height between the 35 and 30 series is almost an inch in height.

275/30 would not be ok ... it is 4.4% off ... as a general rule you want to stay under 3% for speedo/odometer/vdc/abs/etc

you can however go with 285/35 or even 295/35 (if your wheel is big enough).

Yes, thanks for the help. I won't be going with 275/30/19. I am looking at 285/35/19 if I can't get the 275's as my rear wheels will be 19x10.

275/30/19 is probably to low of a profile. Go with the 285/35/19
