Volk CE28N Thread!!

I'll be going with the usual 19x9.5+22(f) and 19x10.5+22(r), likely 255/35 and 285/35 tires.I don't particularly like stretched tires...plus the above sizes are the closest to the stock 225/40 and 245/40 for G coupes.
I was leaning bronze initially but I love the special editions or just plain formula silver that Volk released this year. It's tough because both look good on lakeshore IMO, but very different in final appearances.
AHHHHH, mounted please!!
I haven't PSed the SEs yet, I have yet to find the right donor picture...
Also any opinions would be greatly appreciated in the Bronze vs Formula Silver SE fight...I'm leaning bronze, but slightly shiny silver wheels tend to look good as well...it's a tough call.

CE28n Limited Edition Formula Silver
19x9.5 +22 front with 255/35/19 Toyo T1R
19x10.5 +22 rear with 285/35/19 Toyo T1R
I think I've finally found the last set of wheels I will ever want to put on this car

StradaONE8..I think the RE's are a nice choice....I saw a couple of Z's rockin' these wheels and they looked pretty sharp!

Any word?
Saw these in person on a Z. Nicest looking wheels I have seen in a long time.
He can't post pictures of the wheels mounted because he sold them....to me

EDIT: I used your donor wheels on my car...any opinions?

Comparison:

I'm actually leaning more bronze now...I love the SEs, but for the blue on my car, I really like the earthy colored contrast of bronze and it will pair well with my tan/dark tan interior. The himetal bronze color is pretty damn slick too, but only come on the REs, which is second to the CEs...decisions decisions.
I think those pictures are a bit over-exposed and washed out the bronze in the wheel...so for those too lazy to click and for a better representation of what they look like IRL probably, quick re-touch in PS to bring out the color:

Truly beautiful my friend, great pickup. Also thanks for the pictures...I'm so torn...I like both colors so much.

Thanks for your opinion, I agree I'm liking the REs, more and more. I saw this teaser over @ myg37, and I'm beginning to love the wheel, but question is, is it worth the extra premium over the CEs and the color?

Something else to keep in mind.....the clearcoat on my CE (LE) machined lips is garbage. If you have a dry molecule of skin on your finger and run it across the lip, it will leave a scratch. So I have to be very careful when I wash my wheels to make sure I'm not causing more harm. Meanwhile the paint on the spokes seems to be very high quality so I imagine owning a set of standard CE or RE which are fully painted would be much less stressful. And when it rains it's even worse....after a day or two of driving in the rain the lips are covered in black road grit and brake dust and little tar-coated stones that make my butthole pucker up whever I have to scrape them off. Again having fully painted lips would probably make the problem less noticeable, and much easier to clean. BUT, they do look incredible when they are clean. Just food for thought...
My opinion is that the formula silver w/ machined lip may be too aggressive of a look for what you are after, and on the other hand the all-bronze CE's look good but maybe a little too earthy and subdued. Maybe the hi-metal bronze w/ machined lip is a good compromise.

Like you, I love the visuals of the Limited Editions, the polished lip is amazing as is the formula silver, but my car is a true DD and wont be spared the abuse of normal life like a weekend warrior...which makes me want something easier to maintain.
What you entailed about the lips is exactly what I'm worried about. I have seen how difficult it is to keep them looking nice and how easily they are marred...you also confirmed it. I just don't have the option with my career and schedule to take care of my car as much as I would like right now. But you are absolutely correct that they are second to none in appearance when clean and maintained.
Bronze however, looks aggressive (like most darker wheels, without going full matte black) and will hide the dirt from DD activity more so than any other wheel really. And while it is a very earthy and subdued look, I like subtlety in my cars with a hint of aggressiveness. The himetal finish worries me for the same reasons as the polished lip, I'm sure it will look stunning, but I worry how it will hold up.
It seems the bronze CEs will be the way to go for me, I'll hold out to see some Himetal REs mounted, and in proper light, but I should just pull the trigger already.
As a side: I think bronze can look quite stunning when clean and properly lit.
